Full time position – Sweetwater area Salary and Benefits

The Collector’s responsibility involves the collection of all delinquent accounts of consumer, mortgage, visa, and other actions to recover past due accounts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Review status of delinquent accounts (0 days and above) and initiate appropriate collection action by contacting each account according to due date.
2. Send 15, 30, 60, legal, repossession, deficiency and demand letters.
3. Make at least 50 Collection calls a day.
4. Research member disputes.
5. Process speed and ECM payments.
6. Prepare files and assign vehicles for repossession.
7. Complete all work on repossessed units in a timely manner
8. Prepare files and assign accounts for legal action.
9. Respond to Mechanics Lien notices.
10. Work with consumer credit card counseling on member loans.
11. Conduct skip tracing.
12. Review credit bureaus timely to decide necessary course of action.
13. Work with CUNA on disability claims.
14. Work with CUNA on death claims.
15. Work with Allied Solutions on CPI (Collateral Protection Insurance)
16. Review member’s file for loan decision for collection purposes.
17. Take in-house payments to the tellers for processing.
18. Work with members and prepare files for extension and loan workout.
19. Recommend appropriate loans for charge-off.
20. Work closely with the Visa, Bankruptcy and the Recovery areas of the Department.
21. Work on credit files in E-Oscar (if applicable)
22. Follow-up with GAP and MBP insurance claims.
23. Record all collection activity on member’s account.
24. Collect information for ACH, Periodic payments and Payroll Deduction.
25. All duties as assigned by the managers and/or V.P. of Collections

Education and Training:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.

1. 2-3 Years of related experience
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Work a plus
3. Knowledge of Excel a plus
4. Knowledge of Outlook a plus
5. Scrip Tracing a plus
6. Bi-lingual a plus
7. Night and Weekends required
